LaRue LLC is a family owned and operated trucking company located in Ephrata, PA. We specialize in hauling discarded utility poles for recycling using our fleet of grapple-equipped tractors and dump trailers. We also operate several road tractors and step deck trailers. We are looking for a full-time Fleet Mechanic/Driver to split their time between planning, coordinating and managing maintenance and repairs of our fleet of tractor trailers when needed and to help on local/regional CDL-A driving when there is no fleet work needed.

Job Responsibilities – Fleet Mechanic:

-Coordinate planned and unplanned truck repairs with local vendors
-Perform in-house truck and trailer repairs and maintenance as capable
-Determine logistics schedule, coordinate work priorities based on quantity and ability of equipment and personnel
-Inspect and monitor equipment
-Provide employees with equipment safety training
-Detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of safety procedures
-Monitor employees’ work levels and review performance
-Requisition supplies such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts
-Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, discharges, and corrective/disciplinary actions
-Assist in carrying out all work requirements of LaRue, LLC.
-Perform or coordinate towing, recovering, or road service, as needed
-Uphold and promote company culture and principles

Job Responsibilities – CDL-A Driver:
This is a home-every-night position. Truck driving experience is required for this position. Experience with operating equipment, dump trailer, flatbed trailer including tie-down experience and oversize loads is a major plus. May require the operator to drive a grapple-equipped tractor with trailer to load and transport utility poles. This regional driving position offers consistent scheduling. Drivers know their schedule a week ahead, and once set, schedule rarely changes. No surprises or delays waiting for someone to load you, because you load and unload your own cargo!

Qualifications:
Valid CDL Driver’s License
Valid PA State inspection License
Knowledge of truck and trailer repair
Knowledge of Management Culture and Company Principles
Willingness to learn leadership techniques both in personnel and asset management
