What are the differences between the Century G1 and G2 Integrated Wrecker Models?2020-09-16T15:48:01-04:00

The Century Express G2 models of light-duty integrated wreckers feature some key differences from the first-generation Express models:

  • Redesigned tailboard that improves visibility between the boom and the subframe for easier hook-ups

  • Revamped hose tracking system that provides longer hose life and easier maintenance
  • New, low-profile crossbar and jaws have also gone through a complete make-over for easier operation during hook-ups
  • New patent-pending crossbar pivot head assembly provides more surface area for longer life and smoother operation
  • New design provides increased protection for the jaw cylinders by enclosing them into the crossbar and away from the elements
  • Revamped claw design provides better grip on the tires
  • Positive and negative tilt on the stinger to allow hooking up in a driveway or on an incline

  • Positive Tilt: limiter stop switches halt both the fold and boom elevation height at a predetermined height. For most hook-ups, simply bump the switch to override these controls
  • Center section of the crossbar has been recessed for increased clearance to prevent damage to towed vehicle’s oil pan

Century continues to manufacture both 1st and 2nd generation Express light-duty integrated wreckers. Some operators prefer the familiar feel of the first-generation models.
